It’s Saturday morning in Layton and your tooth is throbbing. You’ve already called your regular dentist — voicemail. You’ve Googled “emergency dentist Layton” and found a list of offices that are all closed until Monday.
Don’t worry! There’s a dentist 20 minutes up the road who is open right now.
We’re The Weekend Dentist in South Ogden, and weekends are the only thing we do. While every other office in Davis County is locked up until Monday morning, Dr. Andersen is pulling teeth, finishing root canals, and getting people out of pain — every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
From most of Layton, we’re about 20 minutes away — straight up US-89 to South Ogden, just off of Harrison Boulevard.
Compare that to your other weekend options:
The ER at Davis Hospital or McKay-Dee: They’ll hand you antibiotics and ibuprofen, charge you $800–$1,500, and tell you to see a dentist on Monday. ERs don’t have dentists on staff — they legally can’t pull your tooth or do a root canal. You’ll wait hours to leave with the same toothache you walked in with.
Waiting until Monday: Dental infections don’t take weekends off. An abscess that’s “annoying” on Saturday can become facial swelling by Sunday night. Waiting usually means more pain and a bigger bill.
Driving 20 minutes to us: You get an exam, an x-ray, a diagnosis, and — in almost every case — the actual treatment done the same day. Most patients are in and out in about an hour.
All the time. Layton, Kaysville, Clearfield, Syracuse — a huge share of our weekend patients come up from Davis County, because on a Saturday, we’re the closest dentist that’s actually open.
Call or text 801-215-9464 before you head up. We’ll usually get you in the same day — often within a couple of hours.
Perfect — neither do most of our patients, and it’s actually simpler. We’re cash-pay with every price published before you ever sit in the chair. [Link to no-insurance page] If you do have insurance, we’ll give you a superbill to submit for reimbursement.
It’s all on our pricing page — real numbers, not “call for an estimate.” Exams, x-rays, extractions, root canals. You’ll know before you show up.
